“Your Dazzling Eyes”

I was walking in the middle of an open space covered with thousands of tulips when I saw you standing alone underneath a tall Sycamore tree. I ran fast towards you and hugged you tight. I felt your heart beats faster as I tighten my arms around you. I saw a smile on your face which later turned into a broad grin. I felt your warmth all over me. We sat beneath the Sycamore tree and watch the sun together as it sets. The reddish-orange sky slowly cracks into twilight. The darkness was later filled with twinkling stars and the moon that glazes with your eyes. Your hands are locked with mine; it felt like you’re giving me the assurance that you’ll never let me go. I ran my hands through your dark brown hair. I rest my head at your shoulder and you bury your face in my hair. And in that very moment, I swear, we are infinite. I just want to hold you close to me until the end of time. I felt so comfortable and complete. You filled in the missing piece of my heart. At that short period of time, my life was overflown with happiness and feeling of being blessed.I felt something sharp pointed at my skin but I was overwhelmed by the joy that I am feeling right now so I just ignored it. Because all I wanted is this. And I don’t want anything to be in between. I closed my eyes and memories were flashing in my mind. When I opened them, the colors of tulips started to fade. The sparkling lights of the stars and the moon became dim. The leaves of the Sycamore tree starts to fall and its trunk is beginning to die. Everything is fading away. I’m starting to panic. I’m losing everything. A lightning struck straight to my chest and my eyes are wide open. I scoot up in my bed and saw the sun shining bright at the blue sky.

As we all know, sharing our blessings is one of the best way to show our kindness. But there are still people in this world that puts their “sack” of food straight to their stomachs without even sharing a little piece of it.

Well, I know someone that acts like a starving lion that hasn’t eaten for billions of years. She was one of my close friends when we were young. But because of her not-so-good attitude, we are now not as close as before. Let me tell you a short story about her being a ravenous lion.

          In the middle of our Biology class, my classmates are not in the mood in listening to our lesson. It was raining hard and most of us are starting to feel thunderstorms in our stomach. Some of my classmates went to the canteen to fill their tummy with delicious foods. But our student teacher got mad and closed the door of our room. So there’s no other choice left but to daydream about those yummy foodstuffs.

          But I can no longer stop the feeling of being hungry and I continue to starve. I asked some my classmates if they have some but none of them have. I asked the ravenous lion if she have food but she said “no”. After few minutes, our biology class has ended but I can still feel thunders in my stomach. A look back and saw her raising a Tupperware of sweet, delicious foods. I went to her and “You told me that you don’t have any, but now you’re holding a Tupperware of it.” She just ignored me and put the Tupperware back to her bag. I walked away and sat on my chair.

          The following day, one of my best friends bought me a bag Cheezy. When we went back to our room, she saw me holding it. She ran towards me to get pieces of Cheezy. I told her, right in front of her face “You haven’t given me even a single piece of your food and now you’re here, savoring my Cheezy?” She thought I was joking so she continued to grab pieces of it. After that, she went away.

          That’s what I don’t like about her because she won’t give you even of single piece of her blessings but when she ran towards you to get some foodstuff, she will grab it like there’s no tomorrow.

          Well, I hope she can read this blog and I expect that her attitude will change even in just one day.

I am Number Four

              Have you ever dreamed of having a power? Like controlling the weather or lifting objects using your mind? Well, for me, having those powers is extremely awesome. After reading the books I am Number and The Power of Six, I really wish I have those. Well, speaking of “I am Number Four” let me tell you how amazing its movie was. 

               Nine aliens together with their guardians went to Earth for their safety because their planet, Lorien, was destroyed by a race of powerful, tattooed monsters, the Mogadorians. Nine aliens that look like typical teenagers living a simple life. However, the Mogadorians learn about the nine Garde and come to Earth to find them. The Loriens can only be killed in sequence; from One to Nine. They caught Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. All of them were killed. Number Four, known as John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) hiding and developing his Legacies in Florida, packed their stuffs and went to Paradise, Ohio with his Cepan, Henri (Timothy Olyphant) after his third scar appeared. He knows that he is next.

He met and became friends with Sam Goode (Callan McAuliffe) and a dog which he named Bernie Kosar. Sam was obsessed with “out of this world” stuffs because he believes that his father was abducted by aliens. John fell in love with a school photographer named Sarah Hart (Diana Agron) and her ex-boyfriend, Mark James (Jake Abel), which is a football player and the one who bullies Sam, threatened him. He was in the middle of his class when he developed his second Legacy, which is Lumen.

In their Halloween festival, John and Sarah went to a hay ride. Mark and his friends planned to attack them in the woods. They got Sarah and ambushed John. John fought back and struck his Lumen in front of his enemies’ eyes that caused them in sudden blindness. Sam saw what he did to Mark’s friends.  John confessed to Sam that he is an alien and was sent to Earth to develop his Legacies.

Henri told John that their lives are in danger because many people find them suspicious and they need to pack their things up and move to their next destination for their safety. But John insists to stay. The Mogadorians continued their search for John, while being trailed by another Lorien, Number Six (Teresa Palmer) who is also trying to locate Number Four.

The Mogadorians located them because of the members of the website “They Walk Among Us”. They kidnapped Henri.  John and Sam go to rescue him. They defended themselves against the evil force of the Mogadorians, yet they failed to save Henri after being stabbed. They brought with them a blue rock which serves as a tracking device for the remaining Garde. Sam remembered that his father also have that blue rock. So he went to his house to find the rock while John went to a party at Mark’s house to say goodbye to Sarah. Mark saw him and immediately called the police. While they were in the rooftop, Mark’s dad, who is a sheriff, tried to grab Sarah that caused to her to fall. John saved Sarah from falling and they went across the woods to their school.

The Commander (Kevin Durand) of the Mogadorians arrived at Mark’s house together with the two Mogs. He was confronted by Mark and his father, and after injuring the sheriff, he forced Mark to show him where John is hiding. Mark takes him to the school, which he knows is Sarah's hideout. There, they were attacked by the Mogs who brought with them two large, monstrous creatures, which are the Pikens. The three of them was saved by Number Six. They continued their fight against the Mogs and defeated them all including the Commander.

The next day, John, together with Number six, unite the blue rocks and they were able to discover where the remaining Garde can be located. Sam insists to go with them believing that his father is alive and able to find him while Sarah was left with Mark. John kissed Sarah goodbye. They continued their search for the living Garde for them to join forces and defend the Earth against the Mogadorians.

So, this is where it ends. I hope you enjoyed reading my “short” story about “I am Number Four”. Watch out for the Mogadorians because you don’t know what they can do to you. And maybe, just maybe, the living Garde is just right beside you developing his/her Legacies.
